Noni or Morinda Citrifolia as detoxifier

Traditional Uses of Noni

Noni Juice (Morinda Citrifolia) has been traditionally used in Polynesia for over 2000 years as a complement to an optimal functioning of the body. It is used as an antioxidant and detoxifier. It acts as a regulator of digestive disorders, high blood pressure, respiratory problems and immune deficiency. It is also used as a laxative and helps alleviate problems of arthritis and swelling of the joints. The fruit of the Noni plant was an important food source for the first Polynesians.

Noni Habitat

The Noni plant grows in areas free of pollutants, in volcanic soils in the Pacific, including Tahiti, the Cook Islands and Hawaii. Noni can grow in different environments and it exists in every season in a variety of habitats. The best soil for Noni is found in the French Polynesia.

Noni and its Properties. Current Use

The Noni fruit contains a compound called proxeronine to which it is attributed many of the benefits of this mysterious fruit, and when combined with an enzyme called proxeroninase, it produces the xeronine. The xeronina, allegedly, is linked to the cells and their optimal functioning, bringing its antioxidant and detoxifier benefits to a cellular level.
The Noni fruit juice is a rich source of essential biochemical compounds and it is rich in vitamin C. Noni juice produces a general wellbeing feeling. It also helps to achieve an optimal functioning of the body, and acts as an antioxidant and detoxifier. Noni is being used as an aid to slow digestions, allergies, pain relief, swelling, arthritis symptoms, immune system deficiency, cancer, colds, skin infections, hair, cellular strengthening and revitalization and more.

During recent years and throughout the world, people have started using Noni products as detoxifiers and energizers.
